The artistic director is Nguyen Nghieu Khai Thu, with the stage manager, Cliff Moustache, from the Nordic Black Opera Theatre, Norway.

The play is a mixture of Vietnam theatre and Shakespeare, with a blend of physical performance as there will be no dialogue.

Ho Chi Minh City College of Stage and Cinema was established on April 26, 1995 and trains students in film, acting and cai luong, traditional Vietnamese opera.
