650 HCMC students learn how to make recycled products

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training November 9 held 'BASF Kids' Lab' for 650 elementary children at Ho Xuan Huong Stadium in District 3.
The program included two experiments, games and quiz aiming to help students how important recycling is in smart waste management and use natural resources economically.
In the ‘exploring plastic’ experiment, students learned to sort plastic waste, the first step in recycling plastic waste after collection, separates, cleans and prepares materials intended for recycling, by using two methods such as basing on the plastic identification code or salt solution.
Upon ‘paper recycling’ experiment, students then knew how to save paper-making materials by transfer used paper into new one with preferred colors.
Elementary schoolers learned how those items can be recycled to save production material and protect environment.
