Brainy Vietnamese continue to win medals in Olympiads

Vietnamese students continue to increase the number of Olympiad medals. So far this year, Vietnam has collected three gold, ten silver and six bronze medals from four subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

At the 40th International Physics Olympiad, which ran from July 12 to 19 and held in Mexico, Vietnam grabbed five silver medals.
 
At the same time, four Vietnamese representatives at the International Biology Olympiad in Japan came home with one silver and three bronze medals.
 
Between July 19 and 27, a Vietnamese student delegation at the 41st International Chemistry Olympiad in the UK, pocketed an impressive haul of one gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
 
Good news also came from the Vietnam Mathematics delegation which completed their tests at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Bremen, Germany on July 22.
 
Ha Khuong Duy, twelfth grade from Vietnam National University (Hanoi), and Pham Duc Hung, eleventh grade from Tran Phu Gifted High School (Hai Phong) took gold.
 
Nguyen Hoang Hai, from Vinh Phuc Gifted High School (northern province of Vinh Phuc), and Pham Hy Hieu, from Vietnam National University (Ho Chi Minh City), took silver.
 
In addition, two bronze medals were also won.
 
In preparation for the Olympiads, the Vietnamese students followed a preparatory course for two months. The course not only provided them the knowledge, but also prepared them with best attitude for the contest.
 
The next Olympiad that Vietnam will participate is the International Olympiad in Informatics in Bulgaria between August 8 and 15.
