Cambridge ESOL Donates Books to HCMC Schools

Cambridge ESOL rep office in Viet Nam, an organ of UK’s University of Cambridge, has just donated 5 book shelves and over 500 English books worth more than $2,500 to five elementary schools in Ho Chi Minh City to foster a better playing field for English learning and teaching activities.

Le Ngoc Han, Dinh Tien Hoang, Tran Hung Dao, Trieu Thi Trinh and Duong Minh Chau schools which last year actively participated in English testing programs administered by Cambridge ESOL each received one shelve and more than 100 book titles including stories for children, reference books, dictionaries, and CDs.

Since setting up its representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in June 2006, Cambridge ESOL has been cooperating with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the city education department to standardize and apply its English tests – including KET, PET, CPE, BEC, BULATS – to schools and universities nationwide.

Cambridge ESOL is the world’s leading provider of English language tests for learners of all age groups and levels and has more than 2 million candidates in 135 countries taking its tests every year.
