Intel Vietnam Has 55 Scholarships for Engineering Students

Intel Vietnam, a subsidiary of the world’s largest chipmaker Intel, says it will grant 55 scholarships this year to undergraduate engineering students at five technical universities in the country.

The scholarships’ purposes are to support science and engineering education and to encourage students in studying technical fields and pursuing technical career.

The five universities are HCMC University of Technology, Da Nang University of Technology, Ha Noi University of Technology, HCMC University of Natural Sciences, and HCMC University of Technical Education.

Each scholarship consists of US$500 per one year, and opportunities to do internship at Intel and to involved in Intel external activities and events

Students for selection must be a full-time Vietnamese student at one of the five universities. Both first-year students and second-year to last year students can apply as long as they hold an excellent academic record, are good at technical English, active in community and extra-curricula activities, and not being employed by other companies including Intel.

The application forms are available at the 5 universities website and www.proskills.vn. The deadline for application is 18:00 April 15, 2008. The completed application form should be emailed to thu.trang.nguyen@intel.com, or sent via post together with other documents to Intel Products Vietnam in Saigon Hi-Tech Park in HCMC’s District 9. The scholarship granting ceremony will be in early June 2008.
