Japan supports upgrade of two schools in North Vietnam

The Embassy of Japan in Vietnam has provided a donation of US$246,000 for upgrading two primary schools in the northern provinces of Thai Binh and Hung Yen.

Hideo Suzuki, Chargé d'affaires ad interim of Japan in Vietnam, on July 17, handed over the donation money to local governments, as part of the ‘Grassroots and Human Security Project’.

The schools were built in the war time and are now in bad conditions and also causing great safety concerns for the children.

This donation fund from Japan will help repair the buildings, make them safe and pleasant for the children and also provide necessary equipment for both the schools.
