Spending the long- lasting historical periods with different names, the university has become a prestigious university in education and training, fostering post-graduate's human resources in medicine and pharmacy sector; and a center for science research about medicine and pharmacy training application, treatment and healthcare for local people in the central and central highlands of the country.
Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy was founded on March 28, 1957. Until now, the university has more than 1,000 lecturers and 12,000 students.
Over ten recent years, the university has had more than 1,500 science research topics of all levels.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga praised and congratulated the university’s achievements as well as its contributions.
Besides that, he strongly affirmed that the ministry has always created the most favorable conditions for the university to become the top national educational center of medicine and pharmacy.
