Among those who attended the awarding ceremony were Le Tien Tuyen, chief editor of the publication, and the chairman of the Lam Dong People’s Committee.
The scholarship program supports poor students, orphans and disabled children who study in 16 high schools in the district’s ethnic minority areas.
The scholarships are not only material aid to help students overcome difficulties, but they are also a motivation for them to study harder and do better, said Do Minh The, Chairman of Duc Trong People’s Committee, who also heads the district’s “Study Encouragement Society”.
Mr. Le Tien Tuyen, representative of Sai Gon Dau Tu Tai Chinh said Sai Gon Giai Phong will continue to assist needy children in other districts in the future.
