Vietnamese students win gold medals at World Invention Creativity Olympic

Two inventions of Vietnamese students won gold medals from the World Invention Creativity Olympic taking place in South Korea from July 25 to 27.

The product to treat petroleum contamination made from biological ferment to create biological film in rice-husk coal of schoolers Ly Han Minh Quang, Truong Tuan Phong, Pham Nhat Minh of Junior High School Giang Vo in Hanoi; Bui Nguyen Hoang of Junior High School Cau Giay and Dang Tran Duy of Senior High School Chu Van An under the instruction of Dr. Le Nhi Cong of Biology Technology Institute and teacher Doan Thi Lan of Junior School Giang Vo.
Another invention “ Nano-silver application to improve efficiency of solar-powered fresh water distillation device of students Nguyen Hoang Son, Tran Duc Anh, Pham Duc Tri of Junior High School Giang Vo; Ho Viet Nhan of Junior High School Cau Giay under instruction of Dr. Trinh Duc Thien of Pedagogy University and Teacher Le Thi Loan of Giang Vo School.
Both inventions received high praise for their creativity and practicality.
Additionally, the two inventions also won special prizes for best innovative products of Thailand University and Indonesian Young Science Association.
The annual competition is organized by the Korea University Invention Association and supported by the parliament of the Republic of Korea. The World Invention Creativity Olympic aims to provide a platform for sixth to twelfth graders all over the world to create innovations that can be applied in reality.
