Vietnamese students win prizes at 2015 Int’l Chemistry Olympiad

Vietnamese students won one gold, two silver and one bronze medals at the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad which was held in Azerbaijan from July 20-29.

Dinh Tuan Hoang, a student from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School eanred the gold medal.

Silver medals went to Pham Thai Ha from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School and Tran Dinh Hieu from Bac Ninh High School for gifted students.

Student Nguyen Thuy Hang of Hung Vuong High School in Phu Tho province bagged bronze medal.
The Ministry of Education and Training will organize a ceremony to greet the winners at the Noi Bai International Airport on July 31.

The 47th International Chemistry Olympiad attracted 294 contestants from 79 countries and territories around the world.

The Vietnamese team was ranked eighth equal with the US and Singapore in the competition, after China, Russia, Japan, Germany, India, Romania, and Taiwan (China).
