VNU-HCMC one of leading research institutions named in UK’s Nature Index

The Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City and its INOMAR Center are two of the ten training and research institutions named in the Nature Index 2019 carried out from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

The Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City ranks the fourth and its INOMAR Center ranks the eighth.
The Center for Innovative Materials and Architectures (INOMAR), established in 2011 as a joint research center between Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and University of California, Berkeley (UCB) through Professor Omar M. Yaghi’s research group.
INOMAR conducts innovative basic research with international standards and seeks to promote high quality postgraduate programs in Vietnam through global mentoring. It is our belief that mentoring is the solution for creating intellectual vitality within Vietnam’s research community, which ultimately leads to a sustained culture of innovation and excellence.
The Nature Index 2019 Annual Tables highlights the institutions and countries which dominated research in the natural sciences. Updated monthly, the Nature Index presents research outputs by institution and country
Nature Index started to rank over 5,000 higher education facilities and research institutions of 174 nations in 2016.
