Surgeons in Hue Central Hospital’s Department of Ear-Nose-Throat yesterday announced to successfully used endoscopic laser surgery for treatment of laryngeal cancer at early stage.

The advanced technique has been applied by surgeons in the central region bringing breakthrough in the health sector.
CO2 lasers can remove a very thin layer of tissue from the surface of the skin without removing deeper layers. The CO2 laser has been used to excise benign laryngeal lesions precisely and with minimal bleeding.
Physicians said before, patients suffering laryngeal cancer had to undergo open surgeries causing so much pain and leaving dangerous complications CO2 laser in combination with precise endoscopic surgery help patients to live longer.
