Food company asked to re-manufacture baby formula

Vita Nutrition Food Company in Binh Thanh District in Ho Chi Minh City has been asked to re-manufacture its baby formula ‘Grow Milk IQ’ as health authorities found it of poor quality and with not enough DHA concentrate.

Although the label on the baby formula indicated DHA content as 2-10 mg per 100 gram, health authorities were not convinced as to the authenticity of that claim.

The Vita Nutrition Food Company has violated regulations several times before. Earlier on November 29, market managers had discovered that specifications given on the label of the dairy product were not authentic; for instance, the label specified ingredients   imported from New Zealand and Australia, but upon inquiry the company could not produce any verifying documents.
