Four people were isolated under suspicion of bird flu infection in the Mekong Delta’s Ca Mau Provinces, all of whom reportedly had eaten chicken, said local health officials Friday.
They were all in a family in Nam Can district, and reported to eat the meat of dead chicken on December 23.
They were later taken to the hospital with symptoms of coughs and high fever.
The victims were immediately quarantined with their samples taken to laboratory for testing.
Till Friday, the patients still suffered high fever and cough but no clear symptom of respiratory distress syndrome.
