Free HIV tests were conducted by the National Economics University and the Ministry of Health on Monday in Hanoi.
The program is part of a series of activities to mark World AIDS Day (December 1) and is being conducted by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the National Economics University from November 28-30 in Hanoi.
Tables have been arranged in front of the university along the pavement of Tran Dai Nghia Street for people to come forward and register for free HIV tests. Everyone from students to laborers is eligible to have the test.
In addition to free HIV tests, other activities will be also organized. 200 students will ride bicycles through the main streets of Hanoi; walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake; collect funds to support people afflicted with HIV and hold a discussion on the dangers of HIV with young people.
