HCMC girl gets H1N1 flu after touring Malaysia

A 24-year-old woman from Ho Chi Minh City is recovering from the H1N1 influenza infection in hospital.

The Ho Chi Minh City Tropical Disease Hospital said on January 14 that the condition of the girl, who is infected with H1N1 flu virus after visiting Malaysia, is now stable. She has been in hospital for last five days and may be discharged from hospital in the next few days, said a hospital spokesperson.

Her family, who wants to remain anonymous, told press that the girl is from District 3 and she experienced symptoms such as high fever, sore throat, runny nose and dizziness, after returning home from Malaysia. 

The hospital tested her blood and the results showed that she was positive to H1N1 influenza infection.
