Two provinces announced more infections of swine flu on September 4, with students being most affected.
The Mekong delta province of Tien GIang said 44 pupils tested positive for the A/H1N1 virus. Two primary schools, Thien Ho Duong and Nguyen Trai, in the town of My Tho, closed their doors for seven days for health officials to spray disinfectants.
The Department of Preventive Health in the Highlands province of Gia Lai disinfected Nguyen Van Linh School, a newly-built private school in the town of Pleiku, as a pupil was found to have swine flu.
Eight students who had close contact with the infected pupil have been isolated.
