Scientific council set up to make inquiry into death of 10 month old baby

The Department of Health in the central province of Nghe An yesterday informed that it has set up a scientific council to make inquiry into death of the ten-month-old boy.
According to initial report of the Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the baby from Yen Thanh District was hospitalized ten days ago and diagnosed with serious pneumonia, sepsis, encephalitis and meningitis.
The baby was firstly injected Rocephin (Ceftriaxone) and Tobramycin for the third time on November 16.
Three minutes after injection, the boy suffered from cyanosis, fast heart rate and shortness of breath. Medical staffs rushed to provide intensive treatment on the baby.
However, the baby died in the next day.
