Sick angler rescued in sea off Hoang Sa Islands

A ship of the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Center this morning announced that it has rescued an ill fisherman suffering stroke and took him to Da Nang for further treatment.

The center said after being informed an asking for help from captain Bui Van Nghia in the central province of Quang Ngai, the center sent its boat to provide assistance on June 15.
Fisherman Le Thao, 56, had a stroke onboard a fishing boat at sea off the Hoang Sa (Paracels) Islands. He was paralyzed by the stroke.
A team of physicians of Hospital 199 under the Ministry of Public Security and medical equipment quickly arrived at the boat for treatment because of the fisherman’s serious condition.
