Substandard drug removed from shelves

The Department of Health in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday sent its document to the Drug Administration of Vietnam and medical clinics across the country about the withdrawal of drug Androdin.

The drug with batch No. 602025, expiry date March 9, 2019, its registered No. VD-17255 is made by N.I.C Pharmaceutical Company.

Test results showed that the drug failed to meet the nation’s standard of Natri benzoate. Accordingly, the Department urged medical facilities to remove the low quality medication.

Additionally, the producer must withdraw all drug from market and write the report to the authority before February 7.
