The Ministry of Health (MoH) has said people will get receive free treatment at all clinics if they are diagnosed with swine flu.
With the flu becoming widespread and winter approaching, testing would focus on high-risk groups like people with serious illnesses and pregnant women, the ministry said earlier. Flu viruses thrive in lower temperatures.
Health officials have warned people to actively protect themselves and their community by adopting hygienic measures rather than taking antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription.
In October there were 10 fresh cases of infection, taking the country’s tally to 10,031, including 23 deaths. More than 9,300 people have been cured and discharged.
