Vietnam, Korean work together in scientific research, training

Vietnam’s National Cancer Hospital (K Hospital) and South Korea’s Tandem and HB Advisors yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding to work together in nursing, rehabilitating, medical imaging, medical testing and prosthetic orthopedic devices.

Under the memorandum, it is hoped that the Vietnamese hospital will expand international cooperation to improve healthcare mission especially in tumor treatment.
Hospital Director Professor Tran Van Thuan said that cancer is a big matter of Vietnam with nearly 165,000 fresh cases yearly including around 115,000 cancer-related deaths; moreover, over 300,000 Vietnamese people are battling with cancer.
Therefore, he added that the hospital always takes heed of cooperation with foreign partners to raise treatment quality.
