Accordingly, in the category of HCMGIS Platforms Application, the two winners are the projects ‘Treasuring Sai Gon’ by Phan Trung Viet and ‘GIS Application in Trading’ by Trung An Water Joint Stock Company (TAWACO).
In the category of Innovative GIS Solutions and Products, the three winners are the solution ‘GIS Application in Managing Problems of the Water Supply Grid’ by Ben Thanh Water Supply Joint Stock Company; the project ‘Designing and Developing a System to Calculate, Monitor, Simulate, and Warn People of Urban Flooding in HCMC’ by Nam Long Technology Corporation; and the solution ‘Collecting and Digitizing Mobile GIS Data’ by Mapdas Co. Ltd.
The contest was able to attract 72 participants, submitting innovative solutions and products in various fields from public administration management support, planning support, to practical ideas to serve citizens. All of them make good use of GIS technology to help HCMC transform into a smart city in the future.
