The event which was co-organized by the People’s Committee of HCMC and the World Bank aims to implement the program “Building an ecosystem of artificial intelligence (AI) application for 2019-2025 in HCMC".
Attending at the event were Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, World Bank (WB) Country Director for Vietnam Ousmane Dione, experts and representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, universities, enterprises and municipal departments along with 400 delegates.
Speaking at the seminar, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said that the conference will give a deep knowledge of the result of AI research for the city to find the shortest way of AI Implementation in the industry 4.0 revolution and the building of an ecosystem of artificial intelligence (AI) application, AI research center and preparing documents to submit to the 11th municipal Party Congress in coming time.
Ho Chi Minh City’s authorities have used artificial intelligence (AI) to support its schemes, such as investment project that borrow loans worth more than VND100 billion, the project to build HCMC into a smart city, he added.
World Bank (WB) Country Director for Vietnam Ousmane Dione also emphasized three key factors that lead to the successful AI project, consisting of setting clear expectations for every sector and applications of artificial intelligence; creating advantages related to the access and data integration for a successful AI projects; understanding and managing risk in AI projects.
