Cho Lon Exhibition attracts over 400,000 visitors

More than 400,000 consumers visited the Cho Lon Exhibition Fair 2010 in Ho Chi Minh City, which ended on December 3, according to the Cho Lon Economic Development Center.

Consumers came from Ho Chi Minh City and the neighboring provinces of Dong Nai, Long An, Soc Trang, Binh Duong and even China.

A total of 188 enterprises with over 369 display booths, introduced people to various items such as: leather shoes, garments, handcrafts, interior decorations and food. In addition, many goods were offered at a 10-15 percent discount during the fair.

Also, the 5th Chinese job fair for young Chinese speakers and Chinese language students was held on December 2. The organizer said that over 60 employing enterprises registered for the event and offered job seekers more than 6,000 different kinds of jobs.

Around 3,680 job seekers attended the fair and 1,748 people looked for jobs online at websites such as www.vieclamvietnam.gov.vn, www.vieclamhcm.net and dubaonhanluchcmc.gov.vn.

Over 1,848 job applicants were interviewed at the fair and half of them were recruited.
