Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City will need about 60,000 full time and 35,000 part time employees in the fourth quarter, said the city Center of Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information (FALMI).
Fifteen percent of the businesses’ demand will be bachelors and higher degrees, 14 percent college graduates, 22 percent vocational level, seven percent skilled workers and 35 percent laborers.
A shortage of seasonal workers and laborers might take place from November until the Lunar New Year, said the center.
The number of university graduates who have not found out suitable jobs remains high, accounting for 40 percent of the total job seekers.
