The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has announced four continuous days off from December 29 until January 1 for residents to ring in the New Year in 2013.
As December 31 falls on a working Monday, people will compensate by working on Saturday, January 5. This will be applicable to offices with 40 working hours in a five day week.
Organizations and companies that work on Saturdays as a rule will arrange another suitable day off for their workers.
Organizations, schools, hospitals, armed forces and households will put up the national flag on January 1, 2013.
