City leaders commemorate heroic martyrs on war invalids and martyrs day

On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (on July 27, 1947- 2019), Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan led a delegation of city People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee to offer incenses and lay wreaths in commemoration at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery in District 9 this morning.

Attending in the visit were Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee cum Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Thi Dung and Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City To Thi Bich Chau.

The leaders commemorated and expressed their deep gratitude to martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the nation. 

They visited and offered incenses at the graves of the heroic martyrs.

After leaving Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery, the delegation visited graves of heroic martyrs at the cemetery in Thu Duc District.
