City leaders commemorate martyrs on reunification day

The City's leaders laid wreaths and burnt incense at martyr cemeteries on occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Reunification Day.

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong led the delegation to visit the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery in district 9.

Accompany in the city delegation were HCMC People’s Council Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, Vice- Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City's Party Committee Vo Thi Dung, Head of the Propaganda and Education Department of the HCMC Communist Party Committee Than Thi Thu, Head of Domestic Administration Department of HCMC Party Committee Tran The Luu, Vietnam Fatherland and Front Committee Chairperson in HCMC To Thi Bich Chau and other leaders.

The city leaders laid wreaths and burnt incense at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery, and paid tribute to heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the national independence.

Leaders laid wreaths and burnt incense at the Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery in Thu Duc district. 

On the same day, Standing Vice- Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang led a city delegation of the HCMC Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland and Front visited tombs of martyrs at Ben Duoc Monument Temple for Martyrs, Martyr Cemetery of Cu Chi and HCMC Policy Cemetery.
