City Okays Infrastructure Projects Worth US$210 Million

Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and HCMC Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (CII) on Tuesday signed a contract on the construction of infrastructural projects worth over VND3.35 trillion (around US$210 million).

All the projects will be carried out on the investment modality of BOT (Building-Operation-Transfer).
CII will invest in a project worth over VND1.6 trillion (around US$100 million), excluding site clearance costs, to expand the Ha Noi Highway from the Sai Gon Bridge to Dong Nai Bridge. The project is expected to be completed by late 2010.
CII also pledged to invest VND750 billion (around US$46.8 million) to upgrade the Binh Trieu bridge, scheduled to commence work in July and to finish within 14 months.
Under the agreement, a building worth VND1 trillion (around US$62.5 million) will be constructed at Dien Bien Phu Street in Ho Chi Minh City.
