City to destroy contaminated meat

The Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for Food Hygiene and Safety September 15 ordered the destruction of eight tons of contaminated frozen chicken wings imported by Truc Den Ltd Company.

The meat containing E.Coli and Coliform bacteria was discovered at a cold storage in District 8 in July.

The same day the committee also recommended destruction of around 140 tons of frozen meat products imported by some other companies.
