Four people were seriously injured when their house collapsed in Ho Chi Minh City’s Go Vap District in July 19.

Tran Truc Phong, 38, his wife Tran Vien An, 25, their four-year-old daughter Tran Bao Vy, and An’s cousin Huynh Tran Ngoc Nhung, 22 were pulled out from under the rubble and rushed to a nearby hospital. Two others escaped without serious injury.

Witnesses said they heard a deafening noise before the house collapsed, also damaging a neighboring house.

The house was built in June last year but was leaning due to a sunken foundation. Mr.Phong had hired workers to repair it but the mishap occurred before they could do so.
