About 5,000 people joined a fundraising walk in Ho Chi Minh City on January 7. The event collected VND430 million (more than US$27,000) to help the poor.

The walkers paraded about three kilometers on Le Duan, Dong Khoi and Ton Duc Thang streets in District 1.

This annual walk has been organized three times by the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross and Saigon Postel Corp. (also the main sponsor). This time, the sponsor donated VND100 million to the Red Cross Society. The society uses all funding raised to help poor people in Ho Chi Minh City and some provinces.
