The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control last night asked the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue to urgently implement anti- flooding measures in order to ensure safety for local residents.

In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee needs to provide information about high tide in a timely manner for local authorities and people, especially those are living in low- lying areas alongside rivers and canals; actively protect dykes as well as ensure pumping station operation for urban drainage.
