HCMC celebrates anniversary of Vietnam-Singapore diplomatic ties

A ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Singapore diplomatic ties was held in HCM City on August 1.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang highlighted the development of the two countries' relations in various fields, especially after the official establishment of the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership in September 2013.
Singapore has more than 1,000 projects worth US$10.6 billion in the city. It is the largest investor and second trade partner of HCM City. Cooperation activities in education, art, culture and society between the two sides have carried out regularly.
Singaporean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Leow Siu Lin affirmed that Singapore wants to further develop the relationship with HCMC in smart technology and applying smart technology in urban planning.
