HCMC commemorates Russia October Revolution

Ho Chi Minh City hosted a commemorative ceremony on Friday to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the great October Revolution in Russia that took place in 1917.

The ceremony was co-organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam Russia Friendship Association in HCMC.

Hoang Huu Nghia, chairman of the Vietnam Russia Friendship Association said at the commemorative ceremony that the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was committed to independence and freedom and hence laid great importance to the message attached to the great October Revolution which took place in Russia in 1917.

Vietnamese people are also deeply grateful to the assistance given by Russia to Vietnam and hold a profound love for the Russian people.

Ho Chi Minh City joins the rest of the country to consolidate the deep-rooted traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia, said Nghia.
