The Department of Health in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday said that teens at the age of 16 and 17 will receive free measles-rubella vaccine in March.
Tenth grade and eleventh grade students in senior high schools and vocational institutes, continuous training education centers and natives of the city born from January 1, 1998 to December 12, 1999 will be immunized measles-rubella vaccine gratis.
All teens will be injected vaccine in schools or local medical facilities.
Around 124,000 teens will be injected with vaccine this time as per the Department’s estimation. In addition, these boys and girls born in 2000 will be also immunized this time if they have not received any shoot of vaccine in latest time vaccination campaign.
