Vietnam-Myanmar Trade Service Tourism Exhibition 2015 (Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2015) was opened last night at Tatmadaw Hall, Yangon city, Myanmar by the HCMC Investment and Trade Promotion Center.
Attending the opening ceremony was Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Pham Thanh Dung, HCMC People’s Committee Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hong, Yangon mayor and representatives from Myanmar’s ministries and agencies.
Ms. Hong stated that the expo showed the city leaders and businesses’ determination to attach to Yangon market and Myanmar also.
The expo comprises 125 stalls of 80 leading businesses from HCMC, showcasing many items such as processed food and farm produce, household appliances, electrical goods, garment and textile, footwear, cosmetics, interior decoration, terracotta and porcelain, handicraft, agricultural supplies, construction materials and industrial machines and equipment.
This year, Vietnamese cuisine stalls introducing products for making Vietnamese traditional dishes are set up in the fair.
HCMC Expo 2015 will run until May 26.
