HCMC, Japan’s Chiba Prefecture strengthen further cooperation

Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong affirmed the comprehensive relation between Ho Chi Minh City and Japanese localities is robust and growing.
Japan has 1,200 projects worth more than US$4 billion in HCMC, ranking the 5th among countries and territories worldwide that have investments in the city.
The city’s authorities hope to boost cooperation with Chiba Prefecture in the fields of economics, culture, urban management and planning, developing creative cities and labor cooperation.
For his part, Kensaku Morita highly appreciated HCMC’s development potential. He said Chiba wants to strengthen exchange and cooperation with HCMC in various fields.
He stressed that Chiba’s government will create favorable condition for the Vietnamese community in the prefecture, contributing to the relationship and cooperation between China and HCMC.
