Accordingly, the city People's Committee carried out policies of speeding up the implementation progress, focusing on construction works and proactively removing accrued obstacles and difficulties under local settling competence to quickly complete documents, appraise, approve and put into usage of natural disaster prevention and control projects, aiming to promote efficiency in high tides and flood season to protect the safety of life, activities and production of people in the city.
The Districts People’s Committee directed investors to urgently carry out disaster preparedness projects using the city's natural disaster prevention fund; to quickly speed up site clearance and relocation of the people so that the investors soon could adopt, complete and put into operation of the anti-landslide and anti- flooding projects.
Particularly, Hoc Mon and Binh Chanh districts have not yet completed assigned tasks with many long-term projects have not been implemented. As this reason, the HCMC People's Committee assigned the Municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (the standing agency of the City’s Steering Committee for Disaster Preparedness and Search) to coordinate with the locality on inspecting and proposing solutions to handle and hand over other investors to complete the disaster prevention projects in 2019.
In order to ensure the quality of the city’s disaster prevention works, the leaders of the People's Committees of the districts needed to instruct the investors to seriously implement the work of collecting specialized opinions of the state management agencies on the important matters in accordance with regulations, including the process of forming construction drawing design dossiers and estimates for projects with 2-step designs, etc.
