The committee has recently proposed the Government Inspectorate and the Central of Citizen Reception Board to support the city to explain and persuade Thu Thiem residents to return to the peninsula and work with authorized agencies on their complaints.
After the two Government Inspectorate’s conclusions about results of the inspection over Thu Thiem new urban area, many local people have still complained, some even came to Hanoi to lodge the complaints. The second announcement was made on June 26.
One of contents of the complaints is that five quarters in three wards of District 2 locate out of the boundary of Thu Thiem new urban area instead of only 4.3 hectares in Quarter 1 of Binh An ward as per conclusion by the Government Inspectorate.
Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has required relevant agencies to work together to tackle the issue while the HCMC People’s Committee affirms that it has assigned authorized agencies to receive, consider and tackle residents’ complaints according to the law.
The committee said that it has been working with the Government Inspectorate to inspect and make clear the complaints.
