At the meeting Petrolimex, Saigon Petro and PV Oil were instructed by the department to show where they will sell gasoline E5.

The three companies should set up a hot line for customers to contact with, inform preeminent features of gasoline E5 compared to A92 and have assistance policies for filling stations to sell the blend.

HCMC is among seven provinces and cities that will widely use gasoline E5 from December 1 this year.

In fact, the blend has been used in the city for four years but its consumption has been very low. Fifty eight out of 504 stations are selling the bio fuel with a consumption output of 29,000 cubic meters a year.
At the meeting, Deputy Director of the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade Le Ngoc Dao said that it is not convenient for the city to only use gasoline E5 like in Quang Ngai Province, where has implemented a pilot project to sell the blend at all filling stations since September.

As a result, the city will sell both gasoline E5 and traditional gasoline as present, she said.
