HCMC wants to establish Korean startup assistance center

Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan on Tuesday hoped Incheon city of South Korea to share experiences in aviation management, urban traffic, students’ creative research activities and especially establishment of Korean startup assistance center in the city.

He was speaking while receiving Incheon city council’s chairman Jegal Won Young.
According to Mr. Nhan, the center’s establishment is meaningful. It might become a symbol of scientific, economic and social exchange between the two sides, he said.
Mr. Nhan appreciated the visit by Mr. Jegal Won Young when the two countries are preparing for the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relation establishment.
South Korea is now the largest foreign investor in Vietnam, the second largest official development assistance supplier and the third largest trade partner of the country.
For the last years, HCMC has set up friendship relations with five localities of South Korea. Recently, the HCMC People’s Council and Incheon city council has signed a memorandum of understanding on establishment of friendship and cooperation relations.
About 80,000 Korean citizens and 2,000 Korean businesses are living and operating in HCMC now.
