HCMC water supplier acts to mitigate shortage

The Ho Chi Minh City water supplier has said its treatment plants will run at full capacity, pumping out an estimated 1.25 million cubic meters daily, to resolve a widespread water shortage.

The Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco) will also increase water pressure and the quantity supplied to affected areas by boosting supply through tankers and barges, speed up the progress of major projects, and reduce loss of water through leakage.

Many parts of the city like Districts 7, 8, 10, Binh Thanh, Go Vap, and Nha Be are suffering from a  severe water shortage.
