Japan funds projects of school, water supply construction, healthcare

The Japanese Government yesterday gave US$344,498 to Vietnam for five projects as part of an ongoing assistance program in a meeting at the office of Consulate-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.

Under the Grassroots and Human Security Project, Kawaue Junichi, the Japanese consul in Ho Chi Minh City, handed over the money to representatives from the southern province of Tra Vinh, the central province of Ninh Thuan, the highlands province of Dak Lak and HCMC.

The amount will be used for building preschool and water supply system in Dak Lak; buying medical equipment for hospitals in Ninh thuan and Tra Vinh provinces, buying special devices to support deaf people in Education Research Center in HCMC.
