Over 1,000 find jobs at HCMC fair

A job fair organized by the District 8 People’s Committee and HCMC Job Service Center on April 12, the second this year, saw 1,065 people finding employment.

Most of them got jobs in the marketing, service, engineering, textile, garment, and security industries or as unskilled labor.
Thirty six companies took part directly in the fair to recruit workers, and 20 others through the center’s website at www.vieclamhcm.net.
Job seekers were also counseled on occupational skills while Vietinbank and Eximbank instructed them on procedures to obtain loans.
Nine received loans worth a total of VND160 million to set up small businesses and find self-employment.
