The construction sites involved in the urban upgrading and environment hygiene projects have been tidied up in Vo Thi Sau, Hai Ba Trung, Ky Con streets and also on streets near Kieu Bridge.

The road restoration works in districts 1, 3 and 5 have all been cleared. The department however allowed the construction units to continue work on ten roads in some places like Nhieu Loc and Thi Nghe Canal because they did not affect the flow of traffic.

As of now, some main projects in the city are already complete which has reduced the number of road restoration works to only half from that of last year.

The urban upgrading projects will continue to be carried out in outlying areas of the city in Go Vap, Tan Phu and district 6 this year. These projects will require the digging up of over 20 roads in the city. The department is also drafting plans to maintain a smooth traffic flow during Tet.
