Mr. Tran The Tuyen, deputy chief of the Press Bureau, the Ministry of Information and Communications, has taken new office as the Editor-in-Chief of Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper, an organ of the HCMC Party Committee.
Mr. Tuyen replaced Mr. Duong Trong Dat, who has retired after four years holding this position.
The HCMC Party Committee announced this replacement to media at a meeting on March 17 at the Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper headquarters in HCMC.

The new Editor-in-Chief used to be a soldier in the People’s Army of Viet Nam, and a reporter of Quan Khu 7 (Military Zone 7) newspaper and Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People’s Army) newspaper.
In the new office, he is responsible for the nine Sai Gon Giai Phong publications – Sai Gon Giai Phong daily, Sai Gon Giai Phong weekly, Sai Gon Giai Phong 12 o’clock daily, Sai Gon Giai Phong Sports daily, Sai Gon Giai Phong Chinese daily, Sai Gon Giai Phong Financial Investment, Saigon Guide weekly, and the Vietnamese online and English online newspapers.
