The US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City announced that starting July 13, all non-immigrant visa applicants approved for US visas will have their passports and visas returned to them via EMS courier service.
Therefore, applicants who are approved for visas no longer need to make a second trip to the consulate on the day following their interviews in order to collect their passports and visas.
The consulate said the EMS courier service will deliver the passports directly to applicants’ home or business address within 24 hours for Ho Chi Minh City addresses and within two business days for most other locations in Vietnam.
Successful applicants are required to fill out an EMS courier form with their name, address, telephone number, and passport information. These forms will be given to the approved nonimmigrant visa applicants at the time of the interview. An EMS representative will be on-site to help applicants complete the courier forms.
Applicants are required to pay a courier fee charge of between VND25,000 and VNA40,000 depending upon their shipping address.
