Neighbors said they saw the fire started at 22:45 in a house off 42 Nguyen Duy Street and spread quickly to other neighboring houses. They run out of the area and used fire extinguisher to put out the blaze.
130 firefighters, 23 fire trucks and police from districts 1, 6, 7, 8 were sent to the scene. Until 23:17 pm, the fire was extinguished however 2 houses and property were destroyed completely and 4 others damaged 50 percent. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
